Goodbye from Hear It Local
Dear Hear It Local friends, musicians, and partners,
Glenn and I co-founded Hear It Local three years ago to change the way fans connect with live music through house concerts and private events. Over these past few years, we've had an incredible ride building a community of 10,000 musicians and facilitating so many amazing shows. Working with you and co-founding this organization has been a dream come true for both of us.
Despite our best efforts and tremendous support from so many of you, I am sad to say we were not able to scale quickly enough to make the business work. The time has come for Hear It Local to close its doors. Starting today, we will no longer allow any new bookings. The site will officially close on July 9th 2014, at which time, the site will be taken offline.
Please make sure to remove the booking button from your Facebook page. If you need any help with that process, please feel free to drop us a line, and we'll do what we can to assist.
We also wanted to let you know that one of our nonprofit partners, Party Corps, will continue to work with many of the artists from the Hear It Local family to produce music-based events of all kinds with the purpose of elevating the profile of grassroots nonprofit organizations. If you are interested in working with Party Corps in the future, and continuing the Hear It Local tradition, please opt-in HERE.
It's been a true pleasure getting to know you, hearing your music, and supporting such a vibrant community. Thank you for your support and for being part of our community. I hope you will stay in touch.
Sincerely yours,
Matt, Glenn, and the rest of the Hear It Local team
